WELCOME TO MYOB

M.Y.O.B  – “Mind Your Own Becoming” is a sacred call for all of us to rise together.

We place a new perspective on the term “M.Y.O.B.” – with the word “Becoming” – which denotes that we are all in the process of evolving consciousness together. When our “soul” focus is upon our personal growth to make a difference in this world – beautiful things occur.  We want to share some vital Key Principles that are important to absorb as essential to that “Becoming” the more of you that you are meant to be.

Vision

We see a world where every individual without exception is healed and whole and is valued and welcomed for their unique expression, qualities, and talents.

Mission

MYOB is a community creating safe spaces to open minds and hearts to inspire personal and inter-relational healing and change through open dialog and courageous conversations.

Mind Your Own Becoming is about soul growth – and that only occurs when we have had enough of what we see around us.  The greatest changes historically have been when as a society we can no longer process the pain and inequities we see.  When we are open to confront, no matter how uncomfortable,  our own inherent racism and entitlements based on a sense of “superiority,” gender, or ethnic prejudices, and be accountable for the thoughts we carry – healing  and new understanding can emerge.   We can authentically begin to bring about a world vision of love and regard for everyone, without exception.   And this is a multi-generational call to action. We will be honored for you to join us in this quest.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this organization shall be to offer educational classes, socially relevant workshops, and programs for personal well-being:  emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually.  To be consciously aware of how we can impact healing;  past, present, and future for the evolution of humanity.

Our May Theme: Grief & Loss

May 2 – Edward Miller: Part 1

Why the “Direct Path to Spiritual Enlightenment” is the most powerful approach to Self-Discovery and Peace of MIND?

I have been a seeker of what I thought was spiritual enlightenment for 40 years, but always felt frustrated and disappointed with the journey. I had studied all the great teachings and spiritual practices.

The Direct Path requires no affiliation to any teacher or tradition. There is nothing to subscribe or commit to. The Direct Path is the essential [spiritual] understanding that has been divested of all its local, temporal, and cultural traditions. For a long time, these teachings were available through special, secret circumstances. I do not think it a coincidence that they have become widely available now when our world culture is ready for them.

Most people write it off without giving it a sincere shot. Like meditation, it can take a while but it’s worth it. Its proponents argue no other practice can change your relationship to hardship in such a direct and uncompromising way. It begins with where meditation practices are seeking to get to: the inherent freedom and openness that underlies all experience.

May 9 – Charles D. Geddes

My deep awareness in this hour of all the hands I have held in my 50+ years of ministry is that there is an eternal realm. I have had unmistakable evidence of communication from beyond – that only Love prevails. All grief is rooted in love, and we can rise to meaningful new purpose.

May 16 – Dr. Ali Bengamin (Intuitive Guide, Transformation Coach, and Artist)

For over 20 years Ali has been a visionary and inspiring voice in the human potential movement as an unwavering crusader for mindfulness, healing, and awakening. Whether through teaching, evolutionary coaching, or keynote presentations, her intention is to share her empowering message of overcoming life’s challenges, heal from trauma and loss, activate authentic power, and unleash creative energy.

Ali shares her journey through loss and grief with insights into conscious grieving and somatic awareness.

May 23 – Rev. Michael Benjamin

Michael has a master’s degree in Consciousness Studies and has spent years sitting with thousands of people facilitating spiritual care as a hospice chaplain and Science of Mind Practitioner. Michael had a Near Death Experience as a young child which evoked communications with his guides. Working with people as they transition expanded his awareness into what many refer to as the afterlife. In our time together we will experience how and why grieving feels good and brings us closer than ever before to our loved ones.

May 30 – Edward Miller: Part 2

The practice of Self-Inquiry to the “Direct Path to Enlightenment.”

Self-inquiry is a process of deep introspection and self-reflection. It involves asking yourself the right questions to gain insight into your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and motivations. The primary goal of self-inquiry is to uncover your true self as well as the essence of who you are beyond societal roles, expectations, and conditioned responses. It allows you to see what you may have been previously overlooking, what you may be avoiding or what you ought to celebrate more.

Self-inquiry is a powerful tool rooted in age-old traditions as well as modern psychology. The tool offers us a path to introspection, self-creation, and self-regulation. By regularly engaging in self-inquiry, we can unravel the layers of conditioning, beliefs, and expectations that often obscure our authentic selves and our wellbeing.

Grief Rooted in the Depth of Love

I want to share a personal reflection that has given me countless “moments” of recalling Transcendental Love. The ongoing reality of our earth journey encompasses overwhelming grief and loss. My 50+ years as a Minister in New Thought and founding in the late 80’s into the mid 90’s a non-profit HIV Support Group called “Together to Grow” (TTG) I have
